In the case of the Urban Chestnut Brewing tap handles, it all started with a marker sketch based on brainstorming sessions and input from UCBC co-founder David Wolfe. Marketing28 then created rough black and white schematic drawings to share with David Pepper of Firkin Taphandles, the company that would ultimately be producing the tap handles.
We then moved on to tighter drawings indicating color, proportions, and suggestions for construction. Firkin Taphandles came up with the idea to use reclaimed chestnut planks salvaged from 18th and 19th century tobacco and dairy farms, giving each handle unique character, and an interesting backstory.
You can see the progression from sketch to finished tap handle below. We are happy to partner with Urban Chestnut on this, and many other interesting projects.
