How do you celebrate a 'film holiday' based on a series of films, but not specifically mention the films? How, when the owner of the films strictly enforces the trademark of the franchise, and rightly so- they spend billions of dollars creating unique worlds and stories, Who are we to sully that reputation?
In this case, we decided to play off of the Rebellion/Empire dynamic of the film series, and use Fluer de Lis in each of these symbols to tie it all into St. Louis. Posters and social media posts draw young Padawans from the entire area to celebrate these films with live music and costume contests.
We think it all turned out better than a scruffy-looking nerf-herder.
